Ask any mother. Any mother at all. The best way for her to feel like herself again and not some sweat pants wearing, diaper changing, laundry folding, food making automaton, is to give her some good ol’ one on one time with her best friend(s). I’ve mentioned before that I have two, one in Delaware and the other in upstate NY. Both too far for my liking, however I was lucky enough to have one of them visiting us for the the 9 days.
She introduced me to the joy that is Dr. Who. My life has officially been taken over. I’ve been having Dr. Who dreams now.
She and her Mama totally spoiled Behbeh with a doggy guitar, an adorable vTech tablet and Elmo DVD as early bday presents.
… Many desserts were had
Gorgeous shops were visited
We accompanied Behbeh and her father to build-a-bear where out came Toots, her newest little companion.
We visited Maryland, Delware and Jersey all in 3 days. Roadtrips!
Starbucks <3 <3 <3
FINALLY got a chance to visit the beach. We’d gone all summer without stepping foot near a single one.
Visited my other bff and awesome hubby in Delaware and hung out w/ their family for the day.
Experienced some pretty epic thunder/rainstorms
Visited an awesome little hole-in-the-wall bookstore that had this amazing wallpaper and cat…
… a miniature paper peep show …
… ye olde typewriter …
… and some gorgeous ampersands
stacks and stacks of homemade pancakes
watching tiny heroes protect the big city streets
Partaking in the five steps of happiness
Absolute heaven. I almost felt like myself again. A breath of fresh air that was so desperately needed. Late night bff talks, roadtrips, tons and tons of starbucks fraps, frozen yogurt dates… every thing that I didn’t even realize I needed, but really really did.
Thank you for coming bizzeth <3 Miss your face already
