It was bound to happen eventually, we just never thought it would happen in such a huge explosion all at once sort of way. At some point Behbeh went and grew a (huge) personality and got pretty verbal about it. As a result, we’ve now started a collection called Behbehisms. I expect we’ll be graced with many more of these as time goes by.
All the better to blackmail/embarrass her with in the future. Bahahahaha

After watching this episode of Pingu (little claymation penguin), Behbeh decided it would be a fabulous idea to take my sieve, place it on her head and walk around the house with a spoon, hitting the sieve and yelling out “BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG”.
When I asked her to PLEASEFORTHELOVEOFEVERYTHING stop hitting her head, she stopped. Then walked over to where I was sitting, took the spoon… and started banging it on my head, while saying “BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG”. I fear I may have a loophole finding child on my hands.

Later on the same day I saw her very closely inspecting her fingers and asked, “Behbeh what are you doing??”
Without missing a beat OR looking at me, she raised her index finger and goes, “shhhhh counting. Later”.
Apparently all the times I was busy working and said to her “shhh I’m doing blah blah blah. Play time later” finally paid off.

Since her father has been home for the past few weeks, Behbeh sees me go over to the bottom of the stairs and yell out his name, to get his attention. Apparently she hasn’t quite figured out that the name I’m yelling out is her papa’s, but just that her mama randomly stands at the bottom of the steps and yells out a name.
So… one day she walked over to the bottom of the stairs and yells out “JOOOOOSAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY”… and walks back to play with her toys. This continued for the next two hours.

While sitting outside one day and after nicking my glasses, bag and drink bottle, Behbeh looks around and goes “Where car go?”
I told her that we had parked it already to which I got the reply “Oh no. No. Get car. Lets go”… and she walking towards the car parking area.

Lobster and I had just finished eating lunch with Behbeh and were about to take her upstairs for her nap and she grabs her sunglasses from the counter, walks over to us and says, “Outside?”
And we both reply, “outside what baby?”
Behbeh says, “Oh okay, outside stroller. Lets go” … and walks to the front door. And waits. For us to get up. And follow her. o_O

Sitting in a food court with us, Behbeh heard two extremely loud/screeching women laughing. After quietly listening to them for about 15 minutes, Behbeh says, “Hear that??”
So we go, “What do you hear behbeh?”
Behbeh says, “Hyenas!”
out of the mouths of babes….
You know what? Before they start talking we await eagerly for that moment. But when they do, we just want to be able to shut them from time to time… On the other hand, as I have 3 kids, I’m hopeful that when my youngest starts having conversations with her brothers that’ll give me some extra time so I don’t have to spend my whole life answering them… do you think it’ll work?
3 kids??? WOW! I can barely hold it together with one and you’ve got three. My goodness
My sister was the baby from the three of us and eventually when she was old enough, she kept busy playing with my brother and kept out of my parents’ way. You have hope!!!!
Ahahaha, such a cute baby! Thanks for sharing this precious part of your life.
Cute!

Both of these posts are great. I just scanned both of my children’s baby books so they could each have them, and the memories were fantastic. They are 14 and 20 this year, and I wouldn’t trade a minute…. wait, maybe a few minutes during that awful flew season about 13 years ago. Maybe I’ll keep that one though, so we have the full set.
I hope you have a copy of these {Behbeh}isms in her baby book too.
Thanks for sharing.
